I’ve loved La Blogothèque ever since I was introduced to them a few years ago when they made a video for each track on Beirut’s album, The Flying Club Cup (there used to be a website dedicated to the videos, but now there are just a couple of them on La Blogothèque’s site).  Their videos of performers out among often unsuspecting bystanders are always visually interesting and the bands they record are all phenomenal.  I came across this video of Alt-J, a band that I’ve been listening to nonstop for the past couple of months.  Their description of the video is spot on:

“Seeing the Alt-J Take Away Show is seeing a group make delicate and fragile thumbnails of abundant songs. Each sound is compacted, reduced, miniaturized, with the group putting everything in place as if they were carefully piling twigs.”

After watching the video, I hope you’ll investigate the band more - http://www.altjband.com/
